Research minister’s planned inquiry into “Islamo-leftism” at universities referred to France’s Council of State
A group of French academics has petitioned the Council of State, France’s highest administrative court, to stop a planned investigation into so-called “Islamo-leftism” at universities.
The group, which consists of six academics, acted after Frédérique Vidal, France’s research minister, said she would investigate whether left-wing, pro-Islamic views were skewing research at the country’s higher education institutions.
