Programme will aim to boost healthier, more sustainable food options

The French government has launched a funding competition backed by €48 million for projects taking on what is described as the “grand challenge” of developing natural fermentation techniques.

The government says the scheme will play its part in the “agricultural and food revolution to produce foodstuffs that are safe, sustainable and traceable”.
