Vega-C successfully lofts satellite payloads

A new European space launcher has completed its first flight without a hitch, successfully placing its payloads into planned orbit.

The Vega-C rocket lifted off (pictured) from the European spaceport in French Guiana on 13 July, delivering its payload a little over two hours later, the European Space Agency announced.
