The EU’s Quantum Flagship, a 10-year, €1-billion R&D project to speed the development of quantum technology, has called for more attention on financing, shared infrastructures and dedicated intellectual property protection.
The calls came in a three-year strategic plan the flagship’s advisory board presented to the European Commission on 3 March. The 70-page strategy was pulled together after an 18-month consultation that involved more than 2,000 quantum technology experts.
