Head of European Space Agency given permission to develop new accelerator programmes and missions

Ministers from the European Space Agency’s 22 member states have agreed on a ‘manifesto’ to level up the continent’s ambitions in space.

On 19 November ministers agreed on three ‘accelerator’ programmes for Esa, alongside two ‘inspirator’ programmes that would “reinforce European leadership in science, technology development and inspiration”.
