EU health programme kicks off

€5.1 billion programme will tackle cross-border threats and affordable medicines, including through treatment innovation

The EU’s €5.1 billion 2021-27 health programme, which is intended among other things to facilitate uptake of research results, is now up and running.

Legislation underpinning EU4Health came into force on 26 March, following its adoption earlier in the month by the European Parliament and Council of the EU.
