Agency signs three contracts for studies into the next generation of propulsion technologies
The European Space Agency has commissioned three rocket manufacturers to carry out research into the technologies that might be used for space transportation in the period 2030-50.
“Space transportation technologies are intrinsically complex, some needing long development cycles of up to a decade. For this reason, Esa is seeking early insights into long-term trends and potential evolutions,” the agency said on 11 March.
