Commission push for regional innovation collaboration

Pilot will connect disparate innovation funding sources across 63 regions and four states

The European Commission has launched a pilot Partnerships for Regional Innovation project to support cooperation among regional and national innovation programmes and connect them to EU-wide initiatives.

The Commission announced on 17 May that 63 regions, seven cities and four member states will take part in the pilot, which will entail participants sharing best practice and developing ways to mobilise multiple funding sources.
