Funded projects could help with prevention or mitigation, according to Research Executive Agency
EU-funded research and innovation projects could help Europe respond to the worsening impact of forest fires stemming from climate change, according to the agency responsible for administering many of the bloc’s research grants.
The Research Executive Agency published an article on 9 August flagging projects that it said “are exploring new measures to safeguard Europeans”, as it warned that this summer has been the second worst for the area of European land damaged by fire since records began in 2006.
