Data reveal gaps in harassment protection at Irish universities

Ireland’s largest-ever survey on sexual violence and harassment in higher education produces “troubling” findings

Nearly one in five staff members at universities in Ireland feel their institution may not be able to keep them safe from sexual violence, according to a survey.

Just 81 per cent of staff respondents to the nationwide survey said they felt safe from sexual violence while on campus, and only 72 per cent said they felt safe from sexual harassment.
