Robbert Dijkgraaf announces support for evaluation revolution to better reflect diversity of excellence

The Dutch science minister has thrown his weight behind a revision of how research performance in the country is assessed.

If successful, the revision will ensure that academics in the Netherlands are measured not just by the number of high-impact publications they produce but also by their work in education, leadership and generating social impact. The plan is part of the Recognition and Rewards programme, which aims to create more space for diverse talent.
