Danish degrees focus on green transition

But universities minister believes more should be done to meet country-wide emissions target

Sustainability and the green transition are an integral part of 65 per cent of university programmes at Danish higher education institutions, according to the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science.

The two topics also appear in 39 per cent of postgraduate courses, according to a survey undertaken by the agency. Degree programmes were counted in the survey if their learning outcomes included environmental sustainability—either as compulsory or optional subjects.
