European Research Area committee backs move for countries to explain their participation in specific actions
EU member states are expected to set out by the end of June their highly anticipated national commitments to the new priority actions of the European Research Area policy initiative.
The ERA is intended to improve European research, in particular by reducing obstacles to the free flow of researchers and knowledge. In November the EU outlined 20 potential 2022-24 priorities for the ERA, including reforming research assessment, promoting gender equality and enhancing research infrastructure.
