Increasing science, technology, engineering and maths graduates among proposed skills priorities
The European Commission has presented a ‘European Skills Agenda’ setting out EU policy priorities and targets for the next five years, which includes inviting industry, education providers and employment agencies to help shape a “shared vision” for skills.
The plan, presented on 1 July, is meant to develop “sustainable competitiveness, social fairness and resilience” in the EU through programmes in areas such as vocational education and adult learning.
