Plan is in line with EUA agenda for open science, association says
The European University Association has thrown its weight behind a plan to develop and expand ‘diamond’ open-access publishing, a system in which costs are borne by organisations rather than by readers or authors.
The plan, devised by groups of research funding and performing organisations, is intended to help bolster academic-led publishing infrastructure at a time of consolidation and product proliferation among for-profit scholarly publishers.
