Latest IPCC report points to tensions in agriculture and forestry

The latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report identifies land use clashes as an issue for New Zealand’s climate change mitigation.

The report—Climate Change 2022: Mitigation of Climate Change, was released on 4 April. It says that globally, around 22 per cent of human-created greenhouse gases come from agriculture and aquaculture activities. In New Zealand, that proportion is close to 50 per cent.
