David Firth to step up as the society’s head in late 2022

University of Warwick emeritus professor David Firth has been appointed as the next president of the Royal Statistical Society.

Firth, known for his contributions to exit polling and election-night forecasting at UK general elections, will replace Sylvia Richardson when her term finishes at the end of 2022.
