A leading international development researcher has called for better evaluation criteria for research partnerships between the UK and the developing world.

Melissa Leach, director of the Institute of Development Studies, was responding to concerns raised by Mark Woolhouse regarding the unequal proportion of lead authors from low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) on papers co-authored with UK researchers, during an event on sustainable research partnerships.
