“Overlooked” incremental changes could be as important as larger ones for data organisations’ financial stability
A study has found that small changes to revenue streams could be as important as large-scale interventions for the financial stability of data archives for social sciences.
The study looked at revenue changes over a period of 40 to 60 years for four social sciences data archives across the globe, including one in the UK. It found that smaller, “non-glamorous” interventions could easily be “overlooked and undervalued”.
