Deal to “cut administrative burden” of using small, non-profit, fully open access publisher
The UK higher education IT firm Jisc has signed a deal with the fully open access publisher Copernicus Publications that it says will help slash the administrative tasks associated with making research publications freely available.
Jisc said the agreement with Copernicus Publications, a not-for-profit publisher, gives UK universities two billing options that make paying for article-processing charges—fees that publishers charge to cover open-access costs—easier.
