Scientists for Labour say cuts undermine government’s commitment to become a scientific superpower
The government’s decision to slash aid funding for research is a “dangerous step backwards for UK science”, a Labour campaign group has warned.
In a briefing shared with Research Professional News, Scientists for Labour said cuts to UK Research and Innovation’s Global Challenges Research Fund and Newton Fund schemes represent “a significant threat to both the domestic and international scientific communities”.
