UK’s net zero policies need to go further, say environmentalists ahead of Chris Skidmore’s review
Environmental charities have said the UK’s net zero strategy is beneficial for business and should be strengthened further, following a government announcement that Chris Skidmore will chair a rapid review into the policy.
The former science minister has until the end of the year to investigate how the government’s plan to ensure all sectors of the UK economy achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 is done in an “economically efficient” way.
