Jeremy Hunt promises investment zones to support growth industries in underperforming locations

The UK’s chancellor Jeremy Hunt has said the government will back “to the hilt” entrepreneurs and investors in innovation or technology-centred businesses.

He was speaking at a Bloomberg event on Friday, just over a month before his March budget, outlining four pillars of economic growth and prosperity: “enterprise, education, employment and everywhere”.
