But head of campaign group suggests association can be secured within a shorter timeframe
Science minister George Freeman has voiced fears that another year could be lost before the UK manages to secure association to the EU research programme Horizon Europe.
The minister’s comments came after prime minister Rishi Sunak and European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen announced that they had come to an agreement over trade in Northern Ireland—an issue that has held up UK association to EU R&D programmes.
