Move comes as review finds Newton Fund and GCRF are behind curve on gender equality
The government is developing a strategy on gender equality for research funded through overseas development aid, following a string of reports that identified shortfalls in some key funds, Research Professional News understands.
The move comes as an independent review of gender equality in two flagship ODA research funds found an “absence of an explicit organisational or portfolio commitment, strategy or policy” on gender equality.
