Plans for ‘UK Arpa’ are finally out—here’s what we know and don’t know

The UK government’s long-awaited plans for a brand new research agency to fund “high-risk, high-reward” work were widely welcomed when they were published on Friday.

But several experts also highlighted many unanswered questions about the agency, previously dubbed UK Arpa after being touted as inspired by the Advanced Research Projects Agency in the United States.
