University of Oxford nominates Oxford-born Merton College warden for the top job
The University of Oxford has announced that Irene Tracey—currently warden of Merton College, Oxford—has been nominated as its next vice-chancellor.
Oxford-born Tracey (pictured) is a renowned neuroscientist and has led Merton—the college at which she studied for her undergraduate and doctoral degrees—since 2019. She is also professor of anaesthetic neuroscience in the Nuffield department of clinical neurosciences and president-elect of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies.
