Ucas report suggests Covid-19 has driven demand

A record number of 18-year-olds applied to study nursing in England last year, according to data from the admissions service.

Ucas figures show that the number of applicants to nursing courses in 2021 rose to 7,105, an increase of 38 per cent since 2019, with many citing the Covid pandemic as one reason for their decision.
