Nasa pulled up over spiralling costs of major projects

Cost overruns and delays reach worst levels in more than a decade of analysis

Major projects in development by Nasa have experienced “significant cost and schedule overruns”, the federal spending watchdog has found.

The Government Accountability Office analysed 21 projects costing more than $250 million, finding that 15 contributed to cost overruns of around $12 billion and 28 years in cumulative schedule delays.
